Things I did today:
*Visited Marseille
*Purchased two sweaters, a necklace, and some things that will be Christmas presents in three months
*Ascertained that I am fat by southern Marseille standards
*Ate a delicious panini made with a flat baguette
*Drank five cups of caramel tea
*Dreamed about sailing in the dark blue Mediterranean
*Spent an hour trying to find a public bathroom, eventually purchasing a mug of tea and sitting to drink it for twenty minutes in order to use the cafe's bathroom.
Things I did not do today:
*Take pictures (Marseille is super seedy. Do not recommend as vacation destination)
*Make eye contact with numerous odd Frenchmen on the street who accosted me
*Stay within my budget
*Get shoved around by rabid tourists
*Elope with a Frenchman and speed away into the sunset on a scooter
